The raw materials

The raw material is the elements making up a scent, its fundamental principle and also the basis of the olfactory language with which the author expresses himself. Nature is its main source and provides the perfumer with essences, oils, absolutes, concretes, resins or infusions extracted from plants from around the world. Moreover, modern laboratories can isolate, reproduce and invent new amazing molecules with scents that perfumers use to create new compositions.

Besides composing perfumes, true noses are specially trained to select those ingredients that reach the level of excellence for their worth, no matter the cost, because, ultimately, a good perfume is a balanced blend of natural essences and chemical molecules of maximum value to make the imagined work a reality.
